Diplomacy
Understanding perspectives and negotiating meaningful solutions.
The Society
Scarsdale International School Model United Nations — a permanent institution that trains delegates year-round and convenes its own conference series.
SISMUN was created with a mission to empower young individuals to engage with global issues, think critically, communicate confidently, and become responsible global citizens.
We believe that diplomacy begins with the willingness to listen, understand perspectives different from our own, and work together toward meaningful solutions. That belief shapes how committees are run, how delegates are trained, and how conduct is enforced.
Every SISMUN room is intended to be safe, inclusive and respectful — a place where an experienced delegate and a first-time delegate can both be heard.
