SISMUN III — The Legacy Edition
SISMUN is the Model United Nations society of Scarsdale International School. It exists to give students a structured, serious environment in which to engage with global issues — to research a position, defend it under scrutiny, and negotiate toward outcomes that hold.
The society trains delegates year-round and convenes its own conference series. Each edition builds on the last; the standard is set once and then raised.

Let us debate with purpose, listen with empathy, and lead with courage.
SISMUN was created with a mission to empower young individuals to engage with global issues, think critically, communicate confidently, and become responsible global citizens. We believe that diplomacy begins with the willingness to listen, understand perspectives different from our own, and work together toward meaningful solutions.
We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful space where every delegate feels comfortable sharing their ideas, challenging perspectives, and participating fully. Whether you are an experienced MUNer or attending your first conference, your voice matters, and we want SISMUN to be an environment where you can learn, grow, and lead.
The Executive Council
SISMUN III · Scarsdale International School
The vocabulary and mechanics of committee: rules of procedure, motions, points, caucusing and the shape of a session from roll call to voting.
How to build a defensible national position: reading policy, tracing precedent, citing credible sources and writing a position paper that earns attention.
Speaking with authority and listening with intent — delivery, rebuttal, tone and the diplomatic register that keeps disagreement productive.
Crisis committees, resolution drafting and leadership inside the room — for delegates ready to shape outcomes rather than follow them.

In Pursuit of Excellence
Delegates, secretariat, research, media and logistics — there is a place in SISMUN for every kind of ambition.
